Sierra Suites Hotel located in Sierra Vista, Arizona has been breathlessly awaiting the appointment of their new General Manager. Granite Hospitality (owners and managers of Sierra Suites) has spent months interviewing candidates and making a multitude of upgrades at the hotel including the expansion of the fitness center, renovated breakfast area now including a variety of both hot and cold items as well as new furnishings in the lobby and new carpeting in the meeting rooms. Though the Sierra Vista hotel has had many changes to upgrade the facilities, a long standing employee of the hotel who epitomizes the history of service excellence Sierra Suites has been known for, was finally selected to be the new General Manager: Mrs. Glen Cobb.
Glen has worked for 7 years for the hotel located in Sierra Vista just down the street from Ft. Huachuca military base, in a variety of positions including guest services, night audit and Manager on Duty. She's lived in Sierra Vista since 1976 and has become actively involved in the community. She and her husband of 33 years owned a local auto repair shop in Sierra Vista for over twenty years. They are proud parents of 4 children and grandparents of (almost) 7 grandchildren. They both enjoy all that Southern Arizona has to offer and have visited almost all of the landmarks in the area including: The Ft Huachuca Museums, Karchner Caverns, Tombstone, Bisbee and the Chiricahua Mountains (to name a few).
Glen has developed a passion for the historical significance of South-Eastern Arizona that she calls the 'Center of the True West.' She and her husband are heavily involved in keeping the true history of the Southwest alive by participating in live re-enactments of key moments in Tombstone hsitory, dressing in full wardrobe from that era.
